Greetings from Google Analytics, We are happy to let you know that a new feature called Event Tracking is now available in the following Google Analytics profiles: www.mortgagehelp4u.com/, xxx, xxx and xxx. Please note that you are receiving this email update since you are an 'Admin' for the profiles listed above. To find your ga.js code snippet, edit the settings for your profile and click the "Check Status" link on the upper right corner of the page. Sincerely, The Google Analytics Team

Google PageRank - Page Rank and Google SEO

Google describes PageRank:

“ PageRank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page's value. In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves "important" weigh more heavily and help to make other pages "important".

You can download the toolbar here at CA Search Engine Optimization [top of left side body column]

Once you have the toolbar installed you may have to go to the green settings button to the right side of the google toolbar. Then go to options in the drop down that appears. At this point go to the third tab over [MORE] in the settings box, then look down the dialog box until you see a little green PageRank icon. Click the box to enable. You will need to save your settings and approve the message that says you are allowing google to spy on your interaction with the web in trade for using their pagerank indicator.

What PageRank means to me

For years and years the best in the SEO Business have been telling us to ignore the stupid green pixels. Primarily I do ignore it. The times I key in on the PageRank is when it goes totally white for a client or totally grey. The latter is the worst which means the site has been banned, all white means you are penalized in a general sense; meaning you have lost your PageRank.

Additionally Google PageRank tells you when the system is updating, occassionally the PR will disappear for a day and then come back updated at a higher number of green pixels on a scale of 1 -10.

Of course we do a little dance when our Orange County SEO Expert competitions PageRank goes white due to their linking schemes!!! Sorry to see your PR go - NOT!!!!

You can read more about it in Wiki here: Google PageRank

Google Adwords - Landing Page Optimization

Landing page load time will soon be incorporated into Google Landing Page Quality Score

As part of Googles continuing efforts to improve end user experience, an additional factor of Quality Score: landing page load time.
Load time is the amount of time it takes for a user to see the landing page after clicking an ad.

Why is Google factoring in load time to the landing page?

Two reasons:
  1. first, users have the best experience when they don't have to wait a long time for landing pages to load. Interstitial pages, multiple redirects, excessively slow servers, and other things that can increase load times only keep users from getting what they want: information about your business.
  2. Second, users are more likely to abandon landing pages that load slowly, which can hurt your conversion rate.
Let Web marketing and design by JASE optimize your landing pages. We are seeing great return on investment for our clients. The reduced cost per click and over all spend has been awesome after we optimize the landing pages. We tune google landing pages for the following items:
  • Speed or load time
  • Cross browser compliance
  • meta data insertion; with attention to prominience and density of keywords
  • 508 compliance - so everyone is able to view and use the page regardless of disability
  • keyword enhancements to the content of the page
  • SEO html syntax corrections
  • SEO tags for higher quality scores

Google Decks the 'Sponsored Listing' Halls

Can Google increase their revenue by adding holiday decorations to their sponsored listings? We think so. These changes are the kinds of enhancements to your site or message that catch someones eye. Anymore with the advent of mass media tools to surf the web by land, air, sea, car, phone, [must i go on] the ones that are unique are the ones that get the eyes. The same corporate hum drum and drivel of Web 1.0 wears down the surfer. When they do find a site or message that is unique or truely valuable they will buy or convert at very high rates. PageRank - Fools Gold

PageRank continues to be a distraction placed on the toolbar by Google.

As the author states, pageRank has dropped but traffic continues. CA SEO Connsultants and Web Consulting Service Companies We educate our clients to ignore the page rank and focus on CPA, CTR and other metrics that show growth. My findings on this last PR change, it appears that anyone with “extra” links or verbose links are being penalized. I know a few local seo ‘experts’ that use massive link text with the anchor set to “#”. Basically an annoyance to the visitor and a fake out that the engines can detect. We suggest that you spend the time needed to compare your anchor text to the page you are sending traffic. As always they should be related to each other. One link with high relevance and positive human behavioral interaction is worth dozens of good PR4+ links. Quality over quantity people…. good luck fellow seo’rs!! Best always, Seharness

How an SEO Expert Knows they are over working the engines?

How an SEO Expert Marketing Specialist - Knows Googlebot is Tired of Scanning the Cache?

I figure that the obvious sign would be the "bot" warning. But then Googlebot seems to have a nice trick, unless I am missing something. You can see from the added screen shot I entered the "bot / harvester" code. Google over looked the need for a submit button here. I try to hit enter on the keyboard to no avail. Now that I think about it - I get this warning more during the day most times; maybe a power outage at google (here in CALIFORNIA - brownouts are when they shut the power grids down to a trickle... I wonder if they are marketing specialists doing steady one off SEO research search queries. Once you use up your 25-50 KW searches, cache review and other "hacks" it appears to shut you out until refresh... drop me a line if you are seeing this too.
