Yahoo Offers Answers to Everything Under the Sun to Score Big with Long Tail SEO

Another tool released. The article implies that the new tool delivers better results and can help you get more out of your pay per click marketing. So how can advertisers capitalize on this tool? First, when building out search terms for your campaign, make sure that the terms the Yahoo Search Assist Tool suggests are included . Second, make sure you are in top positions for those suggested terms. You won't be paying as much for them. so it almost certainly will not hurt you. Third, you may see a slight decline in impressions on your one and two word phrases, as impressions are directly attributed to these long tail keywords instead of attributed to broad matches of general terms. . Fourth, check back often. These terms will update regularly, and new variations will make great additions to your search engine marketing campaign. read more digg story

Google Decks the 'Sponsored Listing' Halls

Can Google increase their revenue by adding holiday decorations to their sponsored listings? We think so. These changes are the kinds of enhancements to your site or message that catch someones eye. Anymore with the advent of mass media tools to surf the web by land, air, sea, car, phone, [must i go on] the ones that are unique are the ones that get the eyes. The same corporate hum drum and drivel of Web 1.0 wears down the surfer. When they do find a site or message that is unique or truely valuable they will buy or convert at very high rates. New Way To Tell Yahoo Exactly What To Index On Your Pages

Yahoo has rolled out a new attribute [mid 2007] for HTML tags allow you to prevent parts of a page from being indexed. Want it to focus only on your body copy, rather than navigational crud. The new robots-nocontent attribute is the way to go. Will Google follow suit?We certainly would welcome any assistance the other engines might offer. Similar to the new robots.txt allocations that came out in 2007. The year ahead should be full of more testing and implementing these advanced web attributes for higher search engine placement and listings.HTML CODER US read more digg story

Will Wikia topple Google? Or Fail Miserably?

Wikia, a search engine launching soon has a open algorithm. Not much scares Google — as they will just get more aggressive. I can almost hear someone at Google singing “Anything you can do, I can do BETTER.//-->I especially liked the comment about ASK.com advertising efforts and recall the unibomber billboard ads. [which also triggered many other relevant peices to fall into place with the latest engine algo's. read more digg story

Yahoo Opens the Doors on Submit to Keep Pace with Microsoft Coolness

Back in the day you could just submit and move on to the next location. The more submissions the more traffic. Those days have been long gone and seo experts have told us to stop doing submissions. Since microsoft came walking tall and carring a big stick [LIVE>spaces, skyDrive, etc, etc] it appears that Yahoo also has started to do the same. We have seen in the last few days some changes in the Yahoo camp. One they have opened the Yahoo Search engine submission area: in the past you had to login and sign up for their sitemap feed program or battle advertisements to get to the free submit tool. Now they have taken down the authenication process and let you stroll [or walk as MSN says] in and do your thing and get on with your day. so go to Yahoo and submit your site if you have made any changes recently or your site is not cached in Yahoo. Go to Live.com and search for Url:www.nameofdomain.com no spaces. Make sure you put it in the query box and not the address bar. if your site comes up ZERO you will find the link on the page to go tell MSN LIVE BETA to enter your url. More Live beta msn microsoft coolness over here OH if you have a gecko browser do not come to the link above as most of the good stuff will not work with the crappy open source browsers. as an example try your gecko fire frozen [FF] on my skyDrive... you get jibberish.... surprised microsoft did not throw a little pigeon poison down for Google. PageRank - Fools Gold

PageRank continues to be a distraction placed on the toolbar by Google.

As the author states, pageRank has dropped but traffic continues. CA SEO Connsultants and Web Consulting Service Companies We educate our clients to ignore the page rank and focus on CPA, CTR and other metrics that show growth. My findings on this last PR change, it appears that anyone with “extra” links or verbose links are being penalized. I know a few local seo ‘experts’ that use massive link text with the anchor set to “#”. Basically an annoyance to the visitor and a fake out that the engines can detect. We suggest that you spend the time needed to compare your anchor text to the page you are sending traffic. As always they should be related to each other. One link with high relevance and positive human behavioral interaction is worth dozens of good PR4+ links. Quality over quantity people…. good luck fellow seo’rs!! Best always, Seharness

Search engine research

today we spent the entire search marketing effort learning the ins and outs of the Internet 411. 411 is mearly a code for information. the same as it is for the telephone acronymn. do a search for "411" or go directly to www,411,com. you will find after a few minutes of browsing that you can not update 411,com. However you find that whitepages sends data to the 411 site. So you merrily go to whitepages to find that it is fed by yellowpages.com. Eventually you will find you way to one or two top level propagation services that feed the internet with really hot data. the same data that has been feeding google, yahoo and msn - unknown to many. I had picked up the trail back in 2003 when I first started to develop what was then to be called "local search engine optimization". After 4 years of research; the local seo package was accordingly renamed: domain search marketing services as it covers the basics of neophyte seo that is generally missed. basically newophyte seo was effective in the transitioning algo's and economy of search marketing so Local seo got abandonded unless specifically needed for a vertical market, niche marketing or local branding campaign. Now without domain search engine marketing services you will be lucky to stay on the first page of Google due to Universal search algo (USA) let alone get to the top three spots that are filled with local, 411, news, media and other hard to spam data. Get with the program and go get your domain sured up with the fundamentals or the advanced marketing will continue to falter. Best always. remember to check out the hot new spot in social market or SMO over at www.blogrush.com

How an SEO Expert Knows they are over working the engines?

How an SEO Expert Marketing Specialist - Knows Googlebot is Tired of Scanning the Cache?

I figure that the obvious sign would be the "bot" warning. But then Googlebot seems to have a nice trick, unless I am missing something. You can see from the added screen shot I entered the "bot / harvester" code. Google over looked the need for a submit button here. I try to hit enter on the keyboard to no avail. Now that I think about it - I get this warning more during the day most times; maybe a power outage at google (here in CALIFORNIA - brownouts are when they shut the power grids down to a trickle... I wonder if they are marketing specialists doing steady one off SEO research search queries. Once you use up your 25-50 KW searches, cache review and other "hacks" it appears to shut you out until refresh... drop me a line if you are seeing this too.
