Profitable Niche expands on keyword research in away that identifies true competitors. The Internet was built on linking. People regard a website as a cach machine. Thinking if they open the door to the world all the money will blow away. Linking out shows a websites strength, in quality, price or service. Now your competitors. Know who is going to be able to beat you at market. If you have better service or other consumer metric factor advantage you should exploit that item. An example would be the shipping industry. Some monster conglomerate nationwide chain store was offering additional products for sale from the website... and then shipped for FREE. Some were appliances and such. But since the trucks are rolling east to west under a poor economy... possibly empty at times; why not fill them with freight that is paid for and give them the shipping for free. They are going that way anyway due to massive chain store delivery.good way to save fuel too.
