SEO's that Sell Search Engine Website Traffic:
Marketing corporations and SEO Companies that sell "traffic" are using content networks to deliver clicks with lower conversions and boasting lots oftraffic. The standard conversion rate of content networks are less than 0.25% in our experience. Some revenue will be generated but the potential is greater in the regular pay per click or sponsored listings which are around 1 - 3%. The SEO promoter opts to use the lower cost content network to earn a living. The action of the promoter directly steers your profitability. These marketing consultants logically favor there income with little conscience for your business well being.
If you were wise you would review your conversion rates and traffic sources. Most of these companies are under performing with your money. Essentially you asked for high rankings and more traffic; NO MENTION OF CONVERSIONS. If you ask your marketing company for more conversions you will immediately create change in your marketing plan and possibly frustrate your marketing guy that can only deliver "traffic".
Traffic don't pay the bills my friends.

SEO Companies that Sell Website Meta Data Enhancements or Meta Data Optimization:
Google .inc does not use HTML keyword or meta tag elements for indexing. The Director of Research at Google, Monika Henziger, was quoted (in 2002) as saying, "Currently we don't trust metadata" [13]. Other search engines developed techniques to penalize web sites considered to be "cheating the system". For example, a web site repeating the same meta keyword several times may have its ranking decreased by a search engine trying to eliminate this practice, though that is unlikely. It is more likely that a search engine will ignore the meta keyword element completely, and most do regardless of how many words used in the element.

If Google stopped using keyword meta tag in 2003; why are you still paying for meta data optimization services. We do the meta data after optimizing the page.
Our marketing plans are based on the fundamentals of search engine optimization.
We focus on main stream organic engines, lateral engines and business engines that provide a conversion rate from 7-14% for our best clients. Once your website is fully optimized [1-2 years], the return on investment (RIO) is exponential year after year. Again this is best case scenario but valid logic to understand why you should stop paying for non converting traffic.
By moving to higher converting, lower traffic channels the client sales go up and budget constraints ease; making for less strain on your client / contractor relationship.
